Our aftercare and maintenance guide is designed to show you how to get the best from your new Rockdoor. Rockdoors have been designed to be extremely hardwearing however like all good products regular maintenance will enhance the beauty and durability of your door over the coming years.
Durable & virtually maintenance free
Rockdoor’s have been designed to provide you with many years of trouble free service. However, from time to time it is advisable to carry out a seasonal check to ensure your door retains its beautiful looks and remains in perfect working order.
Cleaning
The surface of the door and the frame are maintenance free and only require an occasional wash down with warm soapy water, using a mild fragrant free household detergent (under no circumstances should solvent based or abrasive cleaners be used as this may damage the protective UV filters).
Door Furniture
The door furniture requires little or no maintenance. However we recommend you give them an occasional wipe down.
Hinges
No maintenance required. All hinges operate on nylon bushes providing friction free operation.
Locking Mechanism
Both the key and cylinder are self-lubricating therefore requiring no maintenance. An occasional smearing of Petroleum Jelly to the moving parts of the lock (hooks, leaver and dead bolt) may be required from time to time.
Handles
Each door handle operates on two nylon cams, each supported by two retaining springs producing a no resistance operation, providing maintenance free operation.
