Rockdoor is a ‘made to measure' bespoke composite door, greatly admired in the trade for its strength, security and style. To back this up, Rockdoor offers a 10 year guarantee as follows.
A Rockdoor is guaranteed from date of manufacture, through the original installer, provided it is used for domestic purposes only, is installed in accordance with Rockdoor's fitting instructions, and is maintained in accordance with Rockdoor care instructions.
White doors are guaranteed not to discolour within the tolerances of 3-4 of the Grey Scale Rating, and will not crack, bend, warp or bubble under normal weather conditions(in accordance with BS7722:2003) for 10 years. Foiled doors are guaranteed not to discolour within the tolerances of 3-4 of the Grey Scale Rating, and will not crack, bend, warp or bubble under normal weather conditions(in accordance with BS7722:2003) for 5 years.
Any sealed units supplied with Rockdoor will retain good vision and all seals will remain intact for a period of 5 years.
Furniture (to include Handles, Letterplates, Knockers, and Numerals) are guaranteed for 1 year (excluding surface finish). A gradual reduction in operating performance can be expected due to normal wear and tear commensurate with age.
All locking systems are guaranteed to function under normal use, for a period of 10 years from date of manufacture, provided the locks are maintained in accordance with Rockdoor care instructions. We do not accept liability for any losses (direct or consequential) resulting from any claim against this guarantee, including any costs incurred for refitting by installer or by third parties whatsoever.
The guarantee will be void if the product has been altered in any way from original order, including retrospective fitting of furniture, hardware or painting.
All delivery/manufacturing faults must be reported in writing within 24 hours of delivery, to GAP's customer service department (Email - cs@rockdoor.com Fax - 01254 688 038), otherwise any claim will become void. Should a Rockdoor or any of its components be returned Rockdoor reserves the right to refuse a claim if we deem it's not a manufacturing fault or not covered under the terms of the guarantee. All claims that result in a replacement product, will be subject to credit on return policy.
This guarantee excludes damage from neglect, misuse or impact (wilful or otherwise), wear and tear, use as a commercial entrance, any damage or fault caused by incorrect installation to Rockdoors specification, failure due to building subsidence or poor installation, modifications or alterations made and acts of God.
All glass designs or furniture that includes Lead, Brass or Gold effects will weather naturally.
This guarantee will only apply (for doors installed on the UK mainland only unless otherwise stated in writing) to defects appearing within the guidelines above, and where notification in writing is received by the original installer within 28 days of the defect appearing. Guarantees are none transferable and are deemed void in the following events; if any debts due and or in dispute, the customer becomes insolvent, bankrupt or goes to liquidation, administration, receivership or ceases trading.
The above guarantee is limited to the replacement of product sent to the original installer in accordance with GAP's credit on return policy. Rockdoor reserves the right to offer similar replacements if product lines have been discontinued or redeveloped.
Where it is judged by the original installer that a claim may be down to a manufacturing fault, Rockdoor will attend site with the installer (upon receipt of our standard call out fee of £150* by the original installer) to carry out a full inspection prior to repair/replacement. If the issue is found to be manufacturing defect, the monies will be returned to the installer and the door or parts will be repaired/replaced. All site inspections will be carried out at Rockdoor's convenience, and may be subject to refusal. Guarantee's for replacement doors will only extend to the end of the original period.
Rockdoor does not make any other representations or guarantees and in no event shall Rockdoor be liable for any other loss or subsequent damage whether direct or indirect (including but not limited to the cost of installation). Claims in respect of this guarantee will only be met when accompanied by proof of purchase. In the event of claims, Rockdoor will not be liable for temporary replacement doors. We reserve the right to change the door sash only if the outerframe is intact.
In addition to the foregoing Rockdoor's standard terms of business shall apply. This Guarantee shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with English law and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of English courts only. This Guarantee does not affect the statutory rights of consumers.
