3-STAR SECURITY
As we all know, the cylinder is an important mechanism as it supports the lock system overall, securely holding the door in place. While that might sound simple, not all cylinders are created equal. The cylinder we use is 3-star rated and Diamond Sold Secure approved, which means it's been independently tested and certified.
STYLE, SECURED
Rockdoors offer an abundance of unique door styles and glass designs, but we know security and the fear of break-ins are just as important to homeowners when choosing their door.
Most break-ins through a door happen by attacking the lock, usually by snapping, drilling, or bumping the cylinder. Our 3-star cylinder is built specifically to resist all of these methods.
Within the cylinder, there's a molybdenum cam that acts as a secondary lock. If it detects forced entry (like snapping or drilling), this hidden mechanism automatically engages, locking everything down so the intruder can't get through.
WHAT'S MOLYBDENUM?
Molybdenum is a very strong and corrosion-resistant metal, about 25% denser than iron, and with one of the highest melting points of any element. It's ideal for security components because it doesn’t weaken easily with force or temperature.
