WHY DO WE USE ALUMINIUM REINFORCING?
We actually started using Aluminium reinforcing almost thirty years ago, as it’s the best material available to provide strength and structure to reinforce our door. The box section we use today is actually 50% stronger than what we started with, so it goes to show we are constantly getting stronger.
360° OF STRENGTH & SECURITY
It’s pretty clear how strong Aluminium is as a stand-alone product, but it’s when you consider how and why it's used within a Rockdoor that takes it to the next level.
Aluminium isn’t just used for 360° structural strength to prevent door movement. It also allows us to attach hardware such as 3D hinges, Winkhaus lock straps, handles and cylinders into the Aluminium itself, making it even stronger for screw retention – thus making it more secure.
NO BOW GUARANTEE
Since introducing our new internal Aluminium box section, we have fixed the problem of door movement, meaning we are proud to offer a 3mm No Bow Guarantee on all our doors. This means you have confidence that our doors will stand the test of time, in all weather conditions, both hot and cold.
Since 2018
Since its introduction in 2018, almost 200,000 ‘future-proofed’ Rockdoors have left our production line, with our quality statistics proving that bowing has been fixed. Guaranteed!
NO WOOD
Timber can cause serious problems to a door's performance. If timber is used as a reinforcement, or worse still as a substrate, then problems are on the way if the door gets too hot, too cold, or absorbs moisture.
