Welded and galvanised steel mesh reinforcing is a security enhancement integrated within a Rockdoor, to provide superior strength and resistance against forced entry.
Mesh reinforcing consists of 2.5mm steel rods, welded at 50mm intervals, that are embedded into the door's internal structure. It’s positioned between layers of high-impact thermally efficient PVC-U skins and then securely fastened into the doors inner frame with P clips. The rods are then encapsulated within polyurethane foam.
It’s similar to the way concrete is reinforced with steel rods.

This mesh significantly increases the door’s structural integrity, making it highly resistant to cutting, drilling, and other intrusion attempts. The steel mesh reinforcement is particularly beneficial in high-risk areas or for homeowners seeking the next level of protection without compromising on style or energy efficiency.
