We absolutely love seeing photos of our Rockdoors on your homes, with the majority of those that we receive coming from recently installed doors, it’s a great way to showcase our newest styles of doors.

Whether it’s homeowners entering our Share & Inspire competition or installers sending in their favourite installations – we love seeing our inbox full of photos showcasing our different ranges of composite doors. Since starting our Share & Inspire competition over 12 months ago, we have seen a huge increase in the number of photos we receive – so a big thank you to all those that have contributed!

Show your Rockdoor off in the best possible way!

With most of us leading busy lives it’s so easy to quickly snap a photo and tick it off your to do list, which sometimes can result in a photo with a messy foreground or a photo that is so zoomed out you can’t see the detail.

To help, we’ve outlined a few pointers to ensure you take the best possible photo of the strongest composite door available in the UK, Rockdoor. After all, it’s likely that you have spent weeks deliberating over designs and colours so that you’re 100% happy with your new door, whether that be a front door, back door, stable door or french doors – let’s capture the moment!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Firstly make sure the area around the door is clear. Check that there’s no installation tools or debris around to distract from the door itself.  Why not include some flower pots and garden accessories in the photo? It shows off a bit of the properties personality and really brightens up the image!

Make sure you take a lot of pictures, that way you can look through them all and choose the best. Always take a look at what is being reflected in the glass. An easy way to ruin a great photo is a skip or vehicle being reflected. This is so easy to avoid – just take a step to the side!

Don’t be afraid to try some unusual angles! People often think a photo of the door has to be front on, but that couldn’t be further from the truth! Some of our favourite images are from an odd angle. Try taking it from low down, from the side or even from the inside looking out! Wide angle shots and close ups can look great aswell. Why not try taking a picture at night! The light from inside the house shining through the glass, lights a photo beautifully.

Before you know it, you’ll have turned into David Bailey – taking pictures from every angle, not giving up until you’ve got the perfect shot!

Once you’ve got the perfect shot, now’s your time to shine! Get it uploaded to social media and enter it into our Share & inspire competition. Every month we pick our favourite Rockdoor installation who will then win a £25 M&S voucher.
