The May Share & Inspire Winner
All of our entries this month were strong contenders – they all seemed unique with their style combination which is what we love! We love to see door styles that reflect the homeowners own personal style. Just some of the doors that really stood out to us this month was an Irish oak Vogue, a colour that we don’t always see on this style of door and a black Vogue with a contrasting Georgian surround. But as always, we could only pick one!
This month’s winner wasn’t actually sent in by the homeowner – but the installer, who loved this Rockdoor so much, they chose to enter it for them! Hartley Glazing, based in Liverpool, sent us this light oak Dakota and we thought it looked fantastic. We don’t often see a Dakota in light oak, with black and anthracite grey being the popular colour choices for that particular style so it was such a refreshing change to see this Dakota!
There is no doubt that the homeowner chose the Dakota in light oak to complement the light oak windows that are already on the property. The door was fitted with a colour matching frame, an ultra-stylish and modern Bar handle and contemporary knocker, blurring the line between the traditional style of the property and the modern style of their new composite door. It works together perfectly, creating a beautiful and inviting entrance.
We were so impressed by the installation that we chose to go and photograph the door ourselves as it just looks stunning – in fact lookout for this particular Rockdoor in our new brochure (coming soon!). Meaning the homeowners not only receive a £25 M&S Voucher for winning May’s Share & Inspire competition, but a further £100 voucher for being featured in our brochure!
A huge thanks to Caroline and her family for welcoming us to their beautiful home to photograph, and to Hartley Glazing for such a fantastic installation and of course sharing the door with us!
