A fresh new winner for a brand new year
Our first installation of the month competition winner of 2024 is awarded to McDermott Windows! An absolutely beautiful installation of a Black Dune Vision with misted glass. Although the installation was a stunner, as we all know, this competition is based purely on the fit of the door, which was also spot on.
The competition is judged based on the air gaps around the perimeter of the door and whether they are completely equal. Plus the viewing gap, seen from the outside of the door and whether it is parallel all the way from top to bottom. This Dune Vision ticked all the boxes and took the top spot for January.
The Dune is Different
The Dune is one of our newest door styles, released in 2023, and is available in two different variations. The Dune Vision features a glazing aperture of 238mm wide, whereas the Dune Retreat features a narrower more contemporary glass unit at 138mm. Both doors feature a completely unique door texture which runs edge to edge, rather than the typical woodgrain effect the rest of our doors have.

More About This Months Winner
McDermott Windows are a family run business based in Blackburn, Lancashire. The company is run by Stephen and Emma, a husband and wife team who have been in the business for over 20 years.
