As recently reported in Liverpool Echo and BBC News, Granby’s Turner Prize-Winning Streets have come a long way since they became almost irreparable after the Toexth Riots in 1981.
With some residents refusing to leave the area they had grown up in, a few locals set to work painting and planting in an attempt to improve their beloved streets. To the excitement of many locals, the Granby 4 Streets has recently been nominated and awarded the Turner Prize which brought a substantial grant to the area for improvements, and what an improvement there has been, the once run-down Liverpool streets have been transformed into an area that looks like it should be filled with families and professionals, and what has given these houses the X factor? The Regency Rockdoor Composite front door of course! Installed by local Rockdoor approved fitters, House Maintenance Services (HMS) and Penny Lane Builders, our front and back composite doors boast a security rating of 1 and an energy rating of A++.
The Regency Rockdoor, which has been used on a number of properties on the Street is becoming increasingly popular due to its ability to suit both modern and traditional properties. With this particular project, Rockdoor worked closely with the architects and contractors to ensure the original features of the properties, such as the striking gothic arches were maintained, leaving the building with ample character.
Rockdoor is proof that style can be combined with practicality; whether, it be a Front Door, Back Door, Stable Door or a set of French Doors that you’re looking for, our range of composite doors will certainly have the right style for you.
